Day 1: We will travel to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on this day. Before going to La Galapaguera, the center for breeding tortoises, we take a stroll through this charming town. The restoration of the tortoise population on the islands is the focus of this project. From tiny eggs to hatchlings, the whole breeding process is visible here. When the tortoises are mature, they are set to release in a controlled setting where they can be fed and watched until they are fully grown. They are released into the wild as adults to help replenish the islands. We visit the breeding facility, then head back to the yacht for our next adventure.
Day 2: You will travel early in the morning to Gardner Bay on Espaola Island, which has a large and diverse population of wildlife. You can swim or relax at the beach or take a dinghy to Osborn Islet for diving or snorkeling. The waved albatross, which uses Suarez Point as its breeding ground, is the most significant of all the species you will see there. Other species you may see there include sea lions, marine iguanas, Galapagos Hawks, and Nazca boobies. If you’re lucky, you might catch the first trip to the sea of a young albatross. Day’s end and dinner served aboard.
Day 3: The first excursion of the day will take place at Cormorant Point, which is distinguished by its two distinct beaches: a green one made of olivine crystals and a white one made of coral that is used as a sea turtle nesting area. Following his visit, you will travel to Devil’s Crown, an underwater volcano structure that is the ideal location for snorkeling with sharks, rays, sea turtles, sea lions, and rays. You will travel to Post Office Bay in the afternoon, where whalers placed a wooden barrel to serve as a mailbox during the 18th century. As has become customary, visitors can now post their letters here. The beach at this location also allows for swimming and snorkeling.
Day 4: Disembarking at Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island will be the first activity of the day. You will then visit Charles Darwin Research Station, a facility designed to display details about the native animals and earth science of the Galapagos Islands. Here, you will gain knowledge about the endemic wildlife and the preservation efforts made to monitor the species that live in the archipelago. You will be driven to the airport on Baltra Island after this activity so you can catch a flight back to the mainland.

You will travel to El Barranco, also known as Prince Phillip’s Steps, in the afternoon. Here, you will find a Palo Santo Forest and an uphill, bumpy path that leads to a cliff from which you can see the island.

We disembark in the late afternoon at Espumilla, a tiny beach so named because of the white foam that collects there. We have the chance to snorkel in turquoise waters filled with vibrant fish at this idyllic beach and swim alongside magnificent green marine turtles. You will travel to Buccaneer Cove after his activity. Day’s end and dinner served aboard.
