Day 1: In the morning, you will head from Quito to Baltra in Galapagos. From the airport, it is just a short bus and zodiac ride to the ship for embarkation. A zodiac ride into Black Turtle Cove, among the Galapagos’ most wonderful places, carries you through a complicated passageway of serene saltwater inlets bounded by mangrove swamps. When you reach the cove, silently explore the area in search of sea turtles, rays, and sharks. Brown pelicans, egrets, and herons nest here as well. Zodiac excursions are available.
Day 2: RĆ”bida is most commonly known because of its sand color, red. This Island brings joy to visitorās faces because of its fascinating surroundings. Also, it is the perfect place to photograph because of its perfect lighting. Sometimes during the first hour in the morning, the red sand becomes orange due to the sunlight striking it. Three separate land paths are available to visitors visiting Puerto Egas. On this bay, there are 3 different paths. The first one, drives down the seashore over compacted volcanic ash and dark basaltic lava landscape The Galapagos sea lion caverns are the primary tourist attraction here. This walk also passes through several tidal pools, which are frequently accompanied by intriguing marine life. Visitors should look for wading birds and herons (lava, yellow-crowned, and great herons).
Day 3: The Tagus was apprehended here to store enormous tortoises as fresh meat for its upcoming voyage. Some boats take a dismal panga trip to observe the local animals. As well as several other seabird species, sightings of GalĆ”pagos penguins and flightless cormorants are frequent. People visiting Espinoza Point may observe both the raging and quivering āAāasā lava as well as the gentle and flowing Pahoehoe lava flows. One of Punta Espinoza highlights is the vast sea iguana population. The only species of iguana that can swim is a cold-blooded reptile. To eat the algae that grows on rocks, they dive. After coming back from the cold waters they gather together to get some warmth. Passing through the path of marine iguanas, you will also get to see some sea lions and penguins feeding and playing around.
Day 4: Next visit one of the strangest locations on the Isabela Islands, Baha Urbina. Coral reefs and fossils were made visible in 1954 due to volcanic uplift that lifted the seafloor above the water’s surface. Pelicans, marine iguanas, and flightless cormorants are common visitors to the coast. Additionally, snorkeling is possible with turtles, rays, and reef fish. The habitat of the giant tortoises is traversed by the two routes (short and long). The bay is located at the base of the Alcedo volcano, whose majestic top is visible rising beyond the horizon. Galapagos hawk sightings are frequent, and the region is also home to the biggest Galapagos Land Iguanas. Here, youāll have the chance to snorkel, hike and swim.
Day 5: On this day visit BartholomewĀ“s Island which is featured by the iconic view of volcanic landscapes which are very pleasing to watch. There are no habitants in this Island besides some small colonies of fauna and flora which have adapted to the dry temperature and conditions of the place. Between the months of January and March, green sea turtles come to the golden sand beach of Bartholomew to lay their eggs. But only 1% of the babies grow into adults. You can visit Playa Dorada, Playa Norte and Playa Sur of Bartholomew Island and admire its marine life. Here you can also appreciate the Twin Bays. North Beach is an excellent place to swim in and practice marine sports such as snorkeling, while South Beach is the perfect place to walk and explore. Also, make sure to check out and visit Las Bachas. located on Santa Cruz Island’s northern coast. Its soft, white sand is made up of coral, shells, and algae remains, making it a popular nesting site for sea turtles. Behind the beach is a small brackish lagoon where you can see flamingos and other coastal birds like black-necked stilts and whimbrels. Excursion options include walking, swimming, and snorkeling.
Day 6: Visit a place also known as a paradise to watch birds, Darwin Bay. A stunning white coral beach with sally lightfoot crabs, marine iguanas, sea lions, and great frigatebirds as residents where you can go for 1-2 hours long walks. (8 days B)
Day 1: Baltra Island/Departure. Baltra is the region’s main airport, and it is here that you will meet the ship. The ship is only a short bus and Zodiac ride away from the airport. Youāll visit North Seymour. This Island is very popular and frequently visited because of its marine and terrestrial wildlife diversity. The Itabaca Channel is just a boat ride away from this little island. It’s an excellent location to see the blue-footed boobies’ famed mating dance due to the enormous resident colony of these birds there. Also, one of the greatest snorkeling and diving spots in the Galapagos Islands is the region around North Seymour Island. The sea around here experiences upwelling, which causes the water to become chilly and rich in nutrients which becomes ideal for marine wildlife. Here visitors will see right next to them animals like: Marine Iguanas, Sea Lions, Reef Fish, among others.
Day 2: South Plaza and Santa Fe. South Plaza has become the Island in GalĆ”pagos to have the best vegetation. Along with this, the incredible wildlife that exists is very eye-catching. The ocean floor was lifted by volcanic activity to create South Plaza Island. In comparison to the beaches on the north shore, the cliffs in the island’s south were subject to a higher degree of elevation. The South Plaza contains a variety of ecosystems. White sand coral beaches and rocks make up the shoreline, where sea lions spend their days relaxing. On the other hand, it can easily be the oldest island in GalĆ”pagos since it could be at least 4 to 4 and a half million years old. the wildlife in this Island consists of two different species of Galapagos Land Iguana, including the endemic Barrington Land Iguana, GalĆ”pagos Hawks, mockingbirds and Darwin Finches. Barrington Bay’s calm waters are also suitable for kayaking and snorkeling, and there are three diving sites there as well.
Day 3: After disembarking at Punta Pitt’s small green sand beach, climb up to a mountain range where the view and scenery are very well worth the climb. A steep gully leads up the cliff to a breeding area for all three boobie species: red-footed, blue-footed, and Nazca. It is the only location in the Galapagos where all three species nest together. Hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and Zodiac rides are all possible excursions. Also, take a trip to the small watershore town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the islands’ administrative capital.
Day 4: On this day, youāll visit the Post Office Bay, a famous place where you can leave a postcard even without a stamp on it. This Office Bay was created by whalers (Balleneros) in 1793. They began leaving their mail in the barrel which now isnāt the same as the original one (a whisky barrel) to other sailors. Tourists still engage in this custom. Here you can go hiking, snorkeling and on zodiac rides. Also, youāll visit Cormorant Point, where two distinct beaches may be found. one with white sand and the other with green sand. The abundance of olivine crystals is what gives the green sand beach its distinctive tint. While the thin, crushed coral-based white sand of Flour Beach. Here you can appreciate pink flamingos looking for shrimp to eat as well as Blue Footed Boobies diving in search of fish. Visitors can go for a walk to Flour Beach and snorkel on Olivine Beach.
Day 5: On this day youāll visit Elizabeth Bay which is another place people shouldnāt leave without visiting. Youcan’t go and step onto the actual bay but you can go by panga, it is only accessible that way. There is a lange range of marine wildlife which includes: flightless cormorants, sea lions, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas, herons and brown pelicans. Also, visit Moreno Point. With flamingos, pelicans, several types of herons, and other birds.
Day 6: Visit Puerto Ayora in which there are many hotels, stores, and restaurants in the city to accommodate visitors of all sizes and types.
